Storage auctions

When people do not pay the rent they owe for a storage unit, the ownership of the facility will, at some point, place the contents of the unit up for auction. No one knows exactly what is inside the unit because the locks are not cut off until minutes before the auction. There are great opportunities to buy valuable items at a low price. The problem is transportation. If you win an auction, you usually have 24 hours to remove everything that's inside. People who profit from storage auctions usually have trucks, but you can take advantage of a rental truck to make money like large resellers do.

Liquidation auctions

There are many reasons people use liquidators to sell. One example is a bankruptcy court liquidating the assets of a failed company. There is usually less risk involved in a liquidation auction because you know what you are bidding on.
